NOTE – WHILE ATTEMPTING TO FOLD TO INSERT IN A TUBE, I TORE THIS POSTER IN A COUPLE OF PLACES. ALSO, THERE ARE SEVERAL HOLES IN THIS POSTER WHICH ARE ABOUT 1/4 TO 1/2 INCH IN DIAMETER. HOLES SEEM TO RENDER THROUGH A SOLID COLOR BACKGROUND SUCH AS THE YELLOW AND BLACK TO LOWER LEFT AND RIGHT OF POSTER. THESE NEED TO BE REPAIRED.

THIS POSTER WILL NOT BE SHIPPED TO CHICAGO POSTER RESTORATION BECAUSE OF EXTENSIVE, AND NON-COST EFFECTIVE REPAIRS THAT ARE NEEDED.
THE MIKADO TROUPE OF YEDDO JAPANESE – An invaluable recent augmentation to the myriad novelties & stellar attractions which are strictly new to AMERICAN AUDIENCES. A Japanese act of balance and dexterity performing in kimonos of many gorgeous hues. The performer in the center is spinning a box on a twirling parasol.
This is a gorgeous, and extremely rare circus poster. Possibly one of a kind.
Strobridge/1888- One Sheet Upright
NOTE: SADLY, THIS POSTER WAS MOUNTED ON CHARTEX AND THE FACE OF THE POSTER IS COVERED IN SHALLAC. DESPITE THE YELLOWNG CAUSED BY THE CHARTEX AND/OR THE SHELLAC, THE PATINA AND COLORS STILL DEMENOSTRATE EXCELLENT STROBRIDGE STONE LITHO CRAFTSMANSHIP. THIS BEAUTIFUL POSTER APPEARS TO BE IN THE SAME CONDITION AS WHEN THIS PHOTO WAS TAKEN IN 1990. IT WAS REMOVED FROM THE FRAME 26 YEARS AGO HAS BEEN STORED IN A TUBE IN A CLIMATE CONTROLLED ENVIRONMENT.
15 – COLE BROS. CIRCUS
WILL BE LINEN MOUNTED

16 – THE GREAT VICTORINA TROUPE
MAGIC POSTER FEATURING “KAR-MI”
WILL BE LINEN MOUNTED
One Sheet/C1912 Upright
The paper is in good shape and the colors are quite vibrant. However, the poster is mounted on heavy, rigid card stock. This was probably done so that the poster could stand upright in a merchant’s display window. this poster will be shipped to Chicago to be linen mounted. Also, the unsightly brown sticker ‘See KAR-MI” which was commonly applied to this poster will be removed.
THE GREAT VITORIANA TROUPE
MAGIC POSTER FEATURING “KAR-MI”
WITHOUT ‘KAR-MI’ STICKER
17. KAR-MI SWALLOWS A LOADED GUN BARREL
WILL BE LINEN MOUNTED IF UPPER LEFT CORNER CAN BE REPAIRED
WITH UPPER LEFT CORNER MISSING
THIS POSTER IS MOUNTED ON HEAVY, RIGID CARD STOCK. THE EXPENSE TO HAVE THIS POSTER LINEN MOUNTED AND HAVE THE UPPER LEFT CORNER RESTORED MAY BE PROHIBITIVE.
NOTE THE PHOTOGRAPH OF THE NON-DAMAGED POSTER BELOW THIS ONE. ALMOST ALL OF THE MISSING UPPER LEFT CORNER CONSISTS OF WHITE BORDER, HORIZONTAL AND VERTICAL BLUE STRIPE AT BORDER AND SOLID DARK BLUE BACKGROUND. VERY LITTLE OF THE PALM TREE LEAVES ARE MISSING.

ODDS and ENDS
28 – Hal Roach – 1927 Silent Film Movie Poster
“TWO-TIME MAMA”
THIS IS A THREE SHEET THAT IS LINEN MOUNTED.
This poster was rolled up in a tube and placed in a closet. Water from Hurricane Katrina got into the closet and moisture got into the tube. Mildew developed on the acid free linen backing only. The existing linen on this three sheet poster needs to be removed and replaced with fresh backing. The poster including outside borders remain in outstanding condition.
20 – The Famous Brothers Byrne in the New 8 Bells Vaudeville Theatrical Advertising Chromolithograph Poster – 1894
I am clueless regarding the potential value of this poster. However, the high quality artwork and subject matter are eye catching. Also, the colors remain quite vibrant. The workmanship of the Greve Show Print Co of Milwaukee stone lithography on this poster is outstanding.
Possibly Shrink wrapped over foamcore stiff board. The plastic wrapping secures the face of this poster to the stiff backing board by what appears to be alumunium tape that looks like the tape used by HVAC technicians.
If the cost to remove the plastic, backing board, and tape is affordable, I would like to have this poster linen backed.
21 – The Only Rossi Trio In The World
The Rossi Trio appears to be a vaudeville/variety show act dating to the early 20th century. This is poster promoting the Rossi Trio act.
Other than that I haven’t the remotest idea of what the potential value of this poster might be. This poster has water stains to top and bottom of poster. This poster is also mounted on a stiff backing board. If this poster might be worth something meaningful above and beyound the cost to repair and linen mount, i will have needed repairs made.
